With the sun shining in lovely Belfast, we are getting excited for Summer and so should you! We have a fun production coming up, filming in the Summer months close to Belfast.
We are particularly interested in hearing from 17 – 23 year olds for this production and all extras will be required to have valid Basic / Standard or Enhanced Disclosure certificates to take part. Lots of different jobs require this certificate, you may have one already and it’s very beneficial to add it to your profile.
If you have a disclosure check certificate on your profile already, then you don’t need to do a thing, we will contact you to check your availability should you fit a brief for the show.
If you are interested in being considered for the show and don’t have a certificate click the link below for more information and for any questions you may have.
Please note, while having a valid certificate doesn’t guarantee that you will get work, we will endeavour to send you opportunities should you match a casting brief.
Any questions regarding this please do contact us on [email protected] and we will reply as soon as we can, however here is a quick guide:
Do I require an Access NI Certificate for all productions?
No, but this particular one you do. It is being produced by BBC Studios and they have strict regulations regarding working with children.
What is a disclosure certificate?
A disclosure certificate is a document containing impartial and confidential criminal history information held by the police that can be used to make safer recruitment decisions. The basic disclosure document will provide details of an individual’s unspent criminal convictions, or state that they have none.
How do I apply for a disclosure certificate?
Currently Access NI is the official UK body authorized to provide basic disclosure certificates in Northern Ireland.
What is the cost? What do I need to provide?
Through Access NI the current cost of the certificate is £16. You will be asked to provide 2 forms of identification to confirm your name, date of birth and current address. For example: passport, driving licence, utility bill rental agreement, and mortgage or bank statement. You will also be asked to provide address details for the last 5 years.
How often do I need to provide a certificate?
A new certificate will need to be provided every 18 months. However, if within that period you are convicted of an offence under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 you must inform The Extras Dept. immediately
I have my certificate, how do I get it to you?
You can login to your profile and upload a copy there, or if you are you having trouble doing that you can email a copy to us and we will upload it for you. Our email address is [email protected].
