Right to Work Regulations Oct 2026

24 September 2026

As of October 1st 2026, we have to take further steps to prove everyones Right to Work, this applies to British & Irish citizens also.

If you are a British or Irish citizen, here’s what you will need to do:

Once you are booked on a production you will receive an email from Trust ID that will take you through the steps to prove your Right to Work, you will need your passport on hand to do so.

If you are non British or Irish citizen, here’s what you will need to do:

You will need to provide us with your share code if this has not previously been shared with us, or it has been updated. This will be inputted into the gov.uk Share code system and verified.

All members must also participate in a video call with one of our team to further validate identity.

These steps must all be taken prior to you being on set with this production.  If you have completed these steps on a previous production since a booking on 1st October 2026 onwards, you will not to do this again.

Below are some FAQ's about the new regulations & systems we have in place:

What is changing in October 2026?

New rules will apply to on how we check all members Right to Work in the UK, this mean that we need to take a few different steps in the casting process.
The good news is, we will only need to do this once.

I am a British or Irish Citizen, how do I prove my Right to Work?

After you are booked on a production, you will receive an email from TrustID and you will need to take steps via this platform to verify your ID, this is done by uploading a copy of your Passport and then a quick “Live” selfie. Once this is complete, we will receive a document that confirms you identity and your right to work in the UK. Once we receive this document, one of our team will give you a quick video call to confirm the details on your profile & a further check on your identity.

I am a non British or Irish Citizen, how do I prove my Right to Work?

If you hold a passport that is not British or Irish we will verify your Right to Work via the Share Code system, you will be asked to send your share code to us and this is checked by one of our team. A PDF will be downloaded and held on your profile along with the expiry date (if applicable). Once we receive this document, one of our team will give you a quick video call to confirm the details on your profile & a further check on your identity.

Does my passport need to be in date to prove my Right to Work?

Yes, to verify your identity via TrustID your passport must be either in date or it can be up to 6 months out of date.

How long will TrustID hold my information?

Trust ID will remove all your details after 14 days

How do I prove my Right to Work if I don’t have a passport or my passport is out of date?

Your identity will need to proved manually, that would mean you presenting yourself along with your documents at our office where we will take a copy and validate you face to face. If you do not have a passport we can verify your right to work with a birth certificate, drivers licence and proof of your national insurance number (Payslip, P45, HMRC letter etc)

I am keen to do work with you, can I get myself pre-approved for Right to Work with you?

Not at the moment, currently we are concentrating our efforts into those who we are actively booking for productions. We hope to change this

My child has been booked on a production, do I need to prove their Right to Work?

Yes, the new regulations also apply to children. If your child has a passport you can prove their Right to Work via the TrustID link that we will send. If your child does not have a passport we will need you to come to our office with your child and their brith certificate.
