After one of our biggest years to date, we are closing up shop and taking a well-deserved break. We want to thank everyone who helped make this year what it was. Whether you have just made a profile or are a seasoned pro on set, we appreciate everyone in our little extras’ community.
We started the year off with a bang with How to Train Your Dragon coming in straight out of the gate. A lucky 231 extras made up our Viking Village and we can’t wait to see them on the big screen in June 2025.
This year also saw the return of the Realm of Ice and Fire with filming on A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight. This was an absolutely epic production with over 8,000 man days! It was definitely a tough job and the citizens of Westeros were worked to the bone, but we’re certain all the hard work has paid off. We’re on pins and needles waiting for the release date!
After The Hedge Knight wrapped, filming didn’t let up. We had lots of exciting productions running at the same time, and it was a great opportunity for some of our newer extras to get their feet wet across a few different film sets. Between 70s-set Trespasses, the crime drama Art Detectives, and the comedy How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, no two days were the same.
After such an amazing year we really wanted to do something to give back to the community, which is why we ended the year off with our Festive Food Drive. It was a brilliant night and so many people came out to support the South Belfast Food Bank. We were blown away by the generosity and received a whopping 991 kg of donations! It was also so nice to meet you all in real life and hear about your experiences on set.
