Universal Comedy “Your Highness” needs the unusual & quirky looking!

11 June 2009
MEMBERS OF EXTRAS NI DO NOT NEED TO REAPPLY AND SHOULD NOT GO TO THIS OPEN CASTING! YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY BEING CONSIDERED! CURRENT MEMBERS SHOULD GROW THEIR HAIR - DO NOT CUT IT UNTIL NOVEMBER! AND MEN SHOULD GROW BEARDS IF POSSIBLE! But we need more “character” faces to populate inside the castle walls and the gladiator style arenas! As the film is set in medieval times, modern faces or those with a contemporary look are NOT suitable. The search for additional people is purely for the UNUSUAL and QUIRKY LOOKING, for interesting, lived in "CHARACTER FACES". So if you ever thought you or a friend or family member were unusual looking, you/they are exactly what we are looking for! Men with long or wild hair and good beards are very welcome but NO CHILDREN are required. In addition to that, we are also specifically seeking BEAUTIFUL WOMEN THAT LOOK STUNNING IN BIKINIS (aged 18-30), OLDER ASIAN-ORIENTAL MEN (aged 40+), ADULT MALE TWINS OR TRIPLETS (identical or nearly identical of all ages up to 90!), AMPUTEES and PEOPLE WITH SHORT STATURE (adults under 4ft10) to play all sorts of different kinds of warriors. If you match any of the requirements above, you have two options. You can either simply email a recent photo (a head and shoulders shot from which we can see your face and hair clearly) along with your name and contact details to [email protected]. OR we will be holding an open casting at The Holiday Inn, Ormeau Avenue, Belfast on Saturday 20th June 2009 between 2-6pm. PLEASE DO NOT DO BOTH. IF YOU HAVE SENT A PICTURE AND YOUR DETAILS - PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE OPEN CASTING AS WELL. Universal’s feature film “Your Highness” is a fantastical comedy set in medieval times about two brothers on a quest to rescue a fair maiden from an evil wizard in order to save their father’s Kingdom. One is dashing, brave and heroic (played by James Franco – Spiderman, Pineapple Express, Milk) – he must rescue his bride to be. The other is lazy, arrogant and cowardly (played by Danny McBride – Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder, Land of the Lost), who is forced to help the brother he is bitterly jealous of in order to avoid being banished by his disappointed father for good. It is a story filled with minotaurs and monsters, trolls and witches about sibling rivalry, betrayal and facing your fears. Filming is due to start in Belfast and around NI from mid July through to mid October.
